Welcome to the Unified Wrestling League Visitor's center. It is hoped that all questions can be answered that will lead you to becoming a part of our family. Hopefully the following information will prove useful.

The Unified Wrestling League has had offices all over the world, and has decided to focus on things back home. While we still tour the world from time to time, we are based in the good old U.S. of A. We have one main division, but also have a small development roster, with one goal: to get their players ready for prime time. The Main offices are currently located in Cleveland, Ohio, but there is talking of moving them to Columbus, Ohio by the time summer rolls around. The main roster travels from city to city, appearing in many venues that are home to professional and collegiate sports teams.

Hopefully all other questions will be answered in our Frequently Asked Questions log.

05.28.99 - 12.31.99

During the spring of 1999, two men became disgruntled with the constant closing of promotions and or lack of direction. These two men Chris Beacom and Adam Lucas had a dream. A dream that would turn into an unstoppable juggernaut, but neither knew it at the time. After the TWD and SWA closed, pre-empted by the XWL closing, these two found no place that they could call home. After some time of deliberation the Unified Wrestling League was born. Burning the midnight oil, these two men sought out those that would follow them. Those that realized the dream. Within a span of less than a week, everything came to fruitation. On May, 28th, 1999 the UWL held its first sanctioned event. Baptism by Fire, the first Friday Night Frenzy was held in Gund Arena, Cleveland, Ohio.

The Revolution had begun!

For months the UWL was growing in directions that no one forsaw. Quickly there after the UWL began producing its second sanctioned event. Tuesday Night Triumph. Firing out at breakneck speed, the UWL quickly began making a name for itself. Where many had first thought it another indy promotion, they soon realized the mistake in judgment they had made.

So for the first seven months of existence the UWL ran without any problems. The idea of "Where Myths are Shattered, Legends Created and Gods are Born" was living up to its name. No longer was the UWL thought as a flash in the pan. No longer indeed.

For seven months everything ran smoothly but in December of 1999 the first and only detour in this business's history hit with the impact of derailed train.

Lucas left the company over personal reasons leaving Beacom with the load to bare. The UWL cancelled its Triumph production indefintely. For sometime Lucas fell out of the public eye, but Beacom continued to stand fast and hold the post. Soon after Beacom hired two men to help with the growing burden of heading the giant the UWL had become. Kevin Palmer and David Renner were the saving grace of the federation. Assuming the roles of Vice Presidents of Operations and Standards and Practices, respectively. They were the life preserver that ultimately kept the dream alive.

01.01.00 - 12.31.00

In January shocking news came as Adam Lucas returned to the business, however he came back into the public eye as the President and sole owner of the Victory Wrestling Alliance. Seemingly a slap in the face as the VWA became the UWL's strongest competition ever. Despite the remergence of the UWL forgotten son, the UWL continued to move on. For two months business slowed to a near halt, as the VWA thrived but ultimately fell prey to bickering and destruction from the inside. Perhaps in the UWL's darkest hour, fate smiled on it. Lucas in somewhat of a suprise totally bottomed out the VWA, selling it for pennies. In less than two weeks after that time people began noticing changes in the UWL. The prodigal son had come home in May of 2000. Rumors abounded that Triumph would return but it was not to be. All seemed well as Beacom and Lucas smoothed out any differences.

June 2000, saw the birth of UWL Sanitarium. As if the slow period had never existed for the UWL, everything began accelerating at a lightening quick pace.

By September 2000, VP Renner became head of Japanese Relations. The UWL Japan was born. Quickly the talent roster filled up, as Tsunami hit the air waves. The UWL made it known that no one would go without a home.

October 2000 and the growth continued. VP Palmer assumed control of the UWL Mexico. Impressively, the roster filled up quicker than even Japan did.

November 2000 bore witness to the first Super Card. The Mainland, Japan and Mexico came together at November Pain II : Strange Days. The world saw that the UWL had become the standard in the business. Nothing would ever be the same.

01.01.01 - 12.01.01

January 2001 brought changing times. In the goal of more international expansion, the UWL Australia was opened, with the newest member of the Front Office, VP Blehschmidt at the helm.

February 2001 gave us turmoil. It became apparent to the Front Office that trying to run 4 different divisions would run the UWL into the ground. Therefore, it was shrunk down to two divisions : Mainland and International. The rosters were put into a pool, and the people that ran each division held a superstar draft to determine their talent pool.

August 2001 sees the group running strong. A Midsummer Nightmare, the second Unifed PPV since the reorg in February is about to take place, and the UWL has become a runaway freight train, daring challengers to stand in its path.

December 2001 proved to remain true to form as we had to make some very tough decisions, resulting in the re-organization of the UWL.

01.01.02 - Current Day

January 2002 has seen the coming of what we feel is the UWL at its best. Faced with adversity, we have banded together to make the UWL stronger than it has ever been. We have high expectations for what will be the fourth year that the UWL has existed. We have focused our attention, we have answered the calls of our handlers and it will surely be another great year.
